Surface Finishes

The natural finish of HP Multi Jet Fusion (MJF) parts is a matte grey, which can be dyed black or chemically smoothed. A chemically smoothed finish achieves a surface quality approaching injection molding without impacting the mechanical properties of thermoplastic polymer parts. This procedure also seals the parts against liquid and gas ingress by removing porosity.
