Finishing can bring many improvements, such as better aesthetics, geometric accuracy, mechanical functionalities and properties, desired surface features, and improved part quality.

Surface Smoothing

The natural finish of Multi Jet Fusion parts is a matte grey. Parts can be dyed black free of charge or finished with AMT PostPro vapor smoothing technology.

AMT PostPro is a fully automated smoothing solution that creates beautifully looking MJF parts with a surface quality approaching injection molding without degrading the mechanical properties of 3D printed polymers. The smoothing process also improves surface impermeability for easy cleaning, dyeing, and coating.

Vapor smoothing also available for Selective Laser Sintering and Fused Deposition Modeling.

DeepDye Coloring

ESTANE TPU M95A with DyeMansion DM60 ColoringWith DyeMansion DeepDye Color (DDC) technology, we can color your Multi Jet Fusion end-use parts and products at scale.

Our DyeMansion DM60 is an industrial post-processing system for reproducible pigmentation. Using pressure and heat, the DM60 infiltrates color pigments into the pores of the surface and reaches areas that cannot be covered with spray painting or pot dyeing. This fully automated, traceable coloring process is ideal for MJF series manufacturing using polyamide (nylon) or Lubrizol ESTANE® 3D TPU M95A.

Along with a certified selection of standard colors, DDC technology also offers maximum flexibility with DyeMansion Color Matching.
