Background:
After high school, I was pretty sure I would major in either art, or business so I could fund my art. Halfway through business calculus, I realized I really enjoyed math. After receiving my associate’s degree in business, I attended the Colorado School of Mines, receiving my bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
What’s your secret ambition?
Being able to retire so I can work full time for free doing my favorite thing — designing stuff.
If you were a brand, what would be your motto?

What do you love about working at Avid?
I love the freedom and challenges of working for a small company. There is so much variation from day to day; you never know what is coming next.
What’s the best engineer (or inventor) joke you’ve heard?
Galileo, Pascal and Newton are playing hide and seek. It’s Galileo’s turn to count, so he closes his eyes and begins. Pascal runs off and hides. Newton sits down right in front of Galileo and draws a square approximately one meter by one meter. Galileo opens his eyes, see’s Newton and yells, “I found you!” Newton calmly responds, “no, I am a Newton over a meter square. You found a Pascal.”
